Tibetan singing bowls in brief

There is a method called Tibetan singing bowls that both of us (Melinda and Agota) have learned and grown into over time. Along this journey, we have also gathered a collection of beautiful singing bowls and other melodic, sound-producing instruments, all of which we lovingly bring into our personal sound bath sessions.

So let us take a moment to explore what a sound bath with Tibetan singing bowls truly is.

This unique practice is rooted in an ancient healing tradition that is thousands of years old, using the power of vibration and sound waves to support harmony within the body, mind, and inner world. The technique was originally used by Buddhist monks in the Himalayan region as a support for meditation and healing.

The singing bowls we work with are made from special metal alloys or crystal. When played, they produce deep, long-resonating tones. These vibrations are not only heard by the ears, but also felt through the body’s water content, reaching down to a cellular level. The gentle resonance can help release physical and emotional tension, support the flow of energy, and invite a state of deep relaxation.

Sound baths may be especially supportive in situations such as:
* reducing stress and easing anxiety
* improving sleep quality
* releasing tension and muscular tightness
* restoring emotional balance
* experiencing deep relaxation and inner calm
* supporting energetic release and chakra harmonisation

But what does a sound bath actually feel like?

When you choose to take part in a sound bath, you are invited into a deeply restful and nourishing experience. It is a kind of inner journey where there is nothing you need to do. You simply settle comfortably, usually lying down on a mat or blanket, close your eyes, and allow the sounds to move through your body and inner space.

During the session, the instruments we play - such as Tibetan and crystal singing bowls, shamanic drums, bells, rattles, and Koshi chimes - create a gentle field of vibration and sound that surrounds you. These tones are not only heard, but often felt within the body, touching layers beyond words.

This is not a traditional concert, but an inward experience. Each person meets it in their own way, some remain fully awake, others drift into a dreamlike state. Both are equally welcome.

The instruments are introduced gradually, beginning softly, then moving between gentler and more expressive moments. The vibrations help the body relax, the mind quieten, and the tensions of daily life slowly release. As the resonance travels through the body, it supports balance within the energy centres, softens blockages, and gently encourages the body’s natural self-regulating and restorative processes.
