Information here are to help you feel prepared and at ease before attending at a Sound Bath session with The Sacred Sound. If you have any additional questions, you are always welcome to contact us.
Do I need experience with meditation or sound healing?
Not at all, our sessions are suitable for complete beginners as well as experienced practitioners. There is nothing you need to know in advance to enjoy sound bath.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable, loose clothing that allows you to relax fully. Layers are recommended, as the body can cool down a bit during deep rest.
What should I bring with me?
* a yoga mat or a thick blanket to lie on
* a light blanket to cover yourself if you wish
* a small pillow to support your head and allow for deep relaxation
* warm socks, as shoes will be removed and your feet may cool during the session
* still water in a bottle, or herbal tea
Please avoid bringing coffee, energy drinks, or alcohol, as these can interfere with the calming nature of the experience.
Should I eat before the session?
A light meal is fine. We recommend avoiding heavy meals and alcohol shortly before attending, as these can make it harder to relax comfortably.
What happens if I fall asleep?
No problem, this is completely normal and very common. Even if you sleep, your body continues to receive the sound, there is no need to stay awake if you do not feel like.
Is it normal to feel emotional during or after a session?
Yes, sound baths can sometimes bring up emotions or memories, which is part of the body’s natural release process. You are welcome to rest quietly afterwards and take your time returning to your daily activity.
Is sound healing safe?
Sound baths are gentle and non-invasive, however, please always consider your individual circumstances. You may wish to consult a healthcare professional before attending if you:
* have a pacemaker or certain implanted medical devices
* experience epilepsy, seizures, severe sound sensitivity, or tinnitus
* are in the first trimester of pregnancy
* are recovering from recent surgery or have medical conditions that limit your ability to lie down comfortably
* are experiencing significant mental or emotional health challenges
If you are uncertain whether a sound bath is suitable for you, we strongly recommend speaking with your doctor or healthcare provider before attending. Your safety and wellbeing are always our priority.
Is sound healing a medical treatment?
No, our sound sessions are not a medical or therapeutic treatment, we do not diagnose conditions or promise specific outcomes. Our work is complementary and experiential.
Where can I find your sound bath sessions?
